Private Yoga classes will be available in Main Street, Upper Hutt from Feb ’08. Lessons will focus on individuals, couples or small groups of up to four people.
These classes are perfect for beginners who wish to explore what Yoga is all about and are suitable for any age, fitness level or physical shape. Pregnant women and partners are also welcome, as well as new mothers wishing to return to a gentle form of exercise.
Classes last an hour and focus on:
· Physical movement (asanas)
· Breathing (pranayama)
· Relaxation
· Strengthening, tone and muscular development.
Lessons would be ideal for people who:
· Are new to Yoga and unsure what to expect
· Are pregnant and wish to use Yoga to enhance and ease the experience
· Have recently given birth and wish to return to gentle excercise
· Wish to strengthen and tone, but don’t like the gym
· Wish to bring a sense of calm to their being and quiet the mind.
Training:
Amanda is a qualified Sivananda Yoga Teacher and has been teaching both privately and in gyms since 2004. She has a relaxed, friendly approach to teaching focusing on beginners to intermediate practitioners.
Before leaving the UK in 2005, she also studied Pregnancy Yoga with Birthlight. An avid student, Amanda has also attended meditation retreats and Yoga courses in the UK, India and Thailand.

PRICES are charged for an hour long class. Maximum of three per class as the lesson is focused on meeting the individual’s needs. Hour long slots on a Saturday between 12pm – 4pm required.
· $45 for an individual lesson
· $65 for two people (a couple, partners, friends)
· $80 for 3 people (family, friends, colleagues etc)
