Wende Jowsey has been a world traveller and a writer since age 10. She currently teaches and researches in Education in Auckland, New Zealand where she lives with her husband and their son Aden.

A nomadic poet and mystic by nature who is drawn to the wild beauty of New Zealand where she lives and to the clock towers and cathedral squares of France to which she returns whenever possible.

Her life's vocation is at the intersections where self-healing and education come together in the lives of women. Wende began facilitating adult education courses in 1984 and earned her Masters in adult education in 1998. Since then she has taught across sectors from primary to tertiary in the USA, France, and Australia.

Here in New Zealand she previously lectured in Communication Studies and Education at AUT in Auckland. Wende currently writes for the Women’s Health Action Trust in addition to facilitating courses for Continuing Education at Auckland University. (See Below).

Wende currently teaches a powerful interactive women's course titled:

Midlife, Menopause, and Reawakening
As women we universally experience a time of personal evolution during midlife and menopause. Questions such as what else is there? How do I stay healthy? Or simply what do I wish to give and receive in the last half of my life? These questions naturally arise so that we can choose to grow rather than to simply grow older. A generation of women aged 40-60+  are pioneering new models for their relationships, health,  personal and professional well being.  Topics such as menopause, relationships, and life purpose will be covered in ways that are well researched, experientially approached , and delivered with humour! 

Topics include:

Re-thinking relationships, roles, and family ties
Vocation: what can I offer and what do I want?
Sexuality, self-image, and the beautiful mature woman
Self-nurturing and the seeker… sowing seeds of change
